Art + Landscape STL is an intensive, short-term laboratory for St. Louis-based artists and designers working at the intersection of art and landscape.
Emerging from an ongoing series of private discussions and excursions, the project will be anchored by a public exhibition taking over the entire campus of the Granite City Art and Design District in March and unfold from there through four weekends of programs on-site—performances, talks, walks, and more.
Participants include: Michael Allen, Betsy Brandt, Christopher Carl, Jennifer Colten, Sage Dawson, Eric Ellingsen, Meghan Grubb, Derek Hoeferlin, Shabez Jamal, Gavin Kroeber, Yowshien Kuo, Aaron Owens, Tim Portlock, Jenny Price, Katherine Simóne Reynolds, Allana Ross, Micah Stanek, Simiya Sudduth, and Rachel Youn. The project is organized by Gavin Kroeber.
The exhibition will open Saturday 3/16 and run through Saturday 4/6. Public programs will be held every Saturday during G-CADD open hours. A full calendar of programs and further details will be announced in February.
